The Weed Science Program at North Carolina State University is composed of faculty, staff and graduate students in the Departments of Crop and Soil Sciences and Horticultural Science. This program falls under the Plant, Insect, Microbe and Soil System in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The Weed Science Program addresses weed-related issues across commodities and land uses and explores both applied and basic aspects of weed science. A formal lecture series is also in place and is named after Dr. Douglas Worsham (The Arch Douglas Worsham Weed Science Lecture Series).
